The Mortal Kombat video game series is indeed one of the most popular video games series that were loved by many gaming enthusiasts out there. It is a series of fighting games created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. This video game series began originally as a game based on the popular actor and martial artist, Jean Claude Van Damme. Mortal Kombat has produced many sequels and has created several adventure games, films as well as television series. The original version of this game made its debut in 1992 and its success gave way to a lot of sequels and the latest being the rumored Mortal Kombat (2011 video game).

Apparently, Mortal Kombat (2011 video game) is the working title for an upcoming fighting game in the popular Mortal Kombat series. According to a reliable source, this upcoming game is currently being developed by NetherRealm Studios, previously known as WB Games Chicago.
Basically, the Mortal Kombat 2011 video game will recount the events that happened in the first three games in the series, but in a different timeline. Most of the characters will be retained in this upcoming game but with different look and feel.
This new game will feature 26 playable characters such as Cyrax, Johnny Cage, Kitana, Kung Lao, Mileena, Nightwolf, Reptile, Scorpion, Sektor and Sub-zero. And apparently, this game will be the first fighting game in the franchise that will include battle intros for the characters, which is a common in many other fighting games. Each of the characters will be having an intro as well as an outro.

In addition to that, this upcoming game will also feature new control buttons that will make the game even more exciting. Instead of having punches divided between high and low only, there will also be control buttons for each limb as well. It basically combines martial art techniques thus, allowing more fluid character animations. Aside from this, players can also make some special moves easily and without the need of much effort.
This upcoming game looks very exciting and surely Mortal Kombat fanatics will look forward to it. This Mortal Kombat video game is scheduled for release next year for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so watch out for it.

What are people buying online?

What people buy online differs substantially from what they buy in-store. According to a study by the US Census Bureau, the bulk of sales are still in-store. There are, however, several categories in which online sales dominate each product marketplace. These include: books and magazines, clothing, and electronics. Below, we have broken down the sales for each category, to show the percentages of both online and in-store sales as a part of the total marketplace, as well as a comparison of the two in absolute terms.

14 Cool Concept Motorcycles

14 Cool Concept Motorcycles
We love to show you the latest cool rides available, but if you’ve been wondering what kind of awesome motorcycles may be on the horizon then check out these cool concept bikes. Some are functional, but not practical yet for mass production, while others really push the envelope in terms of creative design.

Mach Ness

Motorcycle manufacturer Arlen Ness crafted this metal monster powered by a gas-turbine helicopter engine. The aluminum outer shell with noticeably large rivets gives it a sort of steam punk edge that you just won’t get from carbon fiber and plastic. The body has been shaped entirely by hand, which lends to why it’s not being mass produced. Source

Icare Bike Concept

If we had access to all the possible concept designs for Batman’s motorcycle the Icare Bike Concept would certainly be on the list. We could just imagine the Dark Knight leaning into a tight turn on this sleek black bike. Icare isn’t just a cool concept, but a real working design. It’s powered by a six-cylinder 1.8 liter Honda engine with dual exhaust. Right now it’s still up in the air whether or not it will go into production, but keep you fingers crossed. Source

Swordfish Motorcycle Concept

Any concept bike you’ve ever thought of as sleek has nothing on the Swordfish. The Swordfish Motorcycle concept by Alexander Kotlyarevsky sports an aggressive futuristic design and hubless wheels. The overall look has interesting mix between curves and sharp angles that earn this bike its name. Source

Halbo Future Duo-Wheel BMW

If you’re looking for an incredibly small and fast motorcycle and could care less about your personal safety then we’ve got a bike for you. Designer Pierre Yohanes designed the Halbo for eco-minded people who want something compact and electric powered. The front wheel is stationary and the back tail turns, so it’s kind of like riding a motorboat. Source

Jaguar M-Cycle

This isn’t one of those concept bikes with a name like Jaguar that’s meant to represent it’s speed. Its name is pretty literal in this case. The Jaguar concept by M-Cycles draws inspiration from the Jaguar car manufacturer logo. The bike measures 8 feet in length and features ebony lacquered fiberglass over stainless steel. Source

Scarab Motorcycle

While the Scarab sounds like a bike you’d likely drive around in the desert it’s actually designed with urban situations in mind. The bike can adapt to sit completely upright while parked so it takes up as little space as possible in a crowded city parking lot. In fact you and 3 of your friends using scarabs can fit your motorcycles in a standard sized space for a car. Designer David Miguel Moreira Gonçalves envisions the Scarab to be used as a rental vehicle as a convenient and eco-friendly transpiration solution. Source

Dodge Tomahawk Motorcycle

The Dodge Tomahawk Motorcycle may be the only motorcycle listed here that technically isn’t actually a motorcycle. Based on a Viper V-10 bike, it’s got a beefy 500 horsepower engine and 4 wheels. According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration anything with more than 3 wheels on the ground doesn’t qualify as a motorcycle. That probably has something to do with why this beast of a bike never made it into mass production. Shame because this awesome machine is basically just an engine and some wheels that provide raw speed and power between your legs. Source

ENERGYA Motorcycle

Since we discovered that technically anything with 3 wheels or less qualifies as a motorcycle then technically the ENERGYA Motorcycle fits the bill. With two wheels in the front and two full seats it almost looks like a racecar, but it only has one rear wheel. The designer Higgins-Aubé actually calls it a “motomobile” since it’s sort of a car/motorcycle hybrid.Source

Ferrari V4 Motorcycle Concept

If Ferrari made a motorcycle to match the car this would be it. Industrial designer Amir Glinik took the sexy curves and sleek lines that make Ferrari so fiercely desirable and put them in bike form. The design takes the best aspects of vintage and modern Ferrari projects based on aesthetics and performance to create the perfect Ferrari Bike. For instance the Ferrari V4 Motorcycle Concept features hand controls adapted from a F-16 Fighter Jet and buttons based on the Formula 1 racers. Source

nUCLEUS Motorcycle Concept

The nUCLEUS takes everything you think you know about motorcycle design and turns it on its side. Truly unlike any other bike design out there NONOBJECT designed this bike to stand on its own in terms of design rather than take inspiration from every other bike concept out there. When not in use the motorcycle looks like a weird box, but when in motion the wheels extend and the saddle rises, showing off its function. Source
14 Cool Concept Motorcycles

Magic Tricycle

The Magic Tricycle sounds like something your four year old daughter might drive in the back yard, but it’s actually an amazingly clever transforming motorcycle. When you’d rather be in a car, say on the highway for instance, it lies on its side and uses 3 wheels as sort of a car. But when you just want pure speed its stands upright with the third wheel on top, which supposedly helps keep it balanced.

Speed Racer Alien Motorcycle

The folks over at Gizmodo kindly pointed out that the “Speed Racer” motorcycle concept by Dan Bailey looks like something that came out of the Aliens movies, and we have to agree. Based around the Kawasaki Ninja the bike has some solid foundations, but was designed to look intimidating yet sleek. There’s no word as to whether or not it will see production, but considering how bad ass it looks we hope it does. Source
14 Cool Concept Motorcycles

Ghost Motorcycle Concept

Anyone else on the road will only have a small glimpse of you as you fly by them at top speed and wonder if maybe they’ve seen a ghost. Well, in a way, the sort of did. The Ghost Motorcycle concept puts the rider in an aggressive forward position that feels incredibly fast. The design draws its inspiration from the speed demon Ghost Rider as well as a flying falcon. Source

2015 Honda CB750 Concept

This blocky bike feels like a vision of the future as imagined by a video game designer from the mid 90s. The carbon fiber, aluminum and titanium frame gives the 2015 Honda CB750 enough strength to carry heavy riders. It’s powered by a four cylinder liquid hydrogen engine and features on board computers controlled by an OLED touch screen. It also features radar technology that will slow the bike automatically if it detects an oncoming collision… a feature which you can of course disable if you like to live dangerously. Source

5 Super Powers You Can Have Today

Everybody wants superpowers, from the simple innocence of a child yearning for flight to the sad perversion of the Amish man praying for x-ray vision powerful enough to peep a lady’s calves. We all want to be superhuman, and you can start right now! This is but a sample of some of the currently existing (or soon to be developed) devices that can lend the average man abilities previously relegated to world of comic books.
Super Speed
super speed 5 Super Powers You Can Have TodayLeg amputees, if not wheelchair-bound, are often left struggling with awkward prosthetics, canes, and crutches. But now, with the aid of newly developed super-legs, even double amputees can run every bit as well as some of the world’s fastest sprinters. This all began in the 2000 paralympics (which I promise is a real thing and not just me being a bastard about wordplay) with a South African man named Oscar Pistorius who became the first amputee to complete the 200-meter dash in under 22 seconds, beating the previous world record, held by one Brian Frasure.
But there is some controversy over the legs’ use. While they only put out a 95% return of force as compared to the normal human legs’ 200% return, the running prosthetics also give the user a springing gait and increased stride distance, which could lend them an unfair advantage as well as a jaunty disposition. Considering that this story took place in the ancient days of the year of our lord, 2000, and the fact that the legs have since gone through countless permutations by a myriad of companies, many designs endow abilities well beyond typical human capacity. But there is a great tragedy being overlooked in this story: Brian Frasure, the previous world record holder, actually helped design these prosthetic carbon-fiber feet, and he was the one who gave them to Pistorius…who promptly proceeded to wipe Frasure from the record books with them.
The poor bastard. He’s probably working on a time machine right now, to prevent himself from ever building these legs. If so, knowing his track record, he will most likely be thwarted when somebody inevitably uses that time machine to steal his plans and then invent it before him. He will die as he lived, crippled (by irony.)
Bullet Proff

bullet proff 5 Super Powers You Can Have Today

D3O (d-3-o) is an exciting new development in bulletproofing material and not, as it sounds, a generic brand version of a Star Wars robot. Or rather, it’s an impact proof material which, in conjunction with already existing bulletproof materials, could provide true invulnerability to most gunshot wounds. As it stands now, you can survive many gunshot wounds with traditional Kevlar, but are likely to feel pretty poor afterwords, as the distributed force causes fleshwounds, broken bones and large concentric bruises – like getting your ass beat by the atmosphere. Oftentimes the impact from surviving a gunshot will temporarily knock the victim unconscious as well, leaving them vulnerable with a guy that has already made his feelings clear through the administration of bullets.
But D3O is set to stop that: It works kind of like cornstarch -iIt starts off as gel, but gets proportionally harder when more force is exerted on it (the dick joke here is just too easy, I have my standards.) When soft, the substance allows for greater flexure, but when rigid can reduce the strength of a bullet impact by more than half. And that’s what she said (I hate myself.)

The UK Ministry of Defense has already commissioned body and head armor using the new substance, obviously seeing the potential for better protection… or just because it looks really, really fun to grab. We’re talking bubble-wrap levels of tactile stimulation here, people.

Invisibility
invisibility 5 Super Powers You Can Have Today

Scientists are getting damn close to inventing a true invisibility cloak. Previous efforts, like the one pictured before – while still scarily advanced – are nonetheless always slightly inaccurate, because they rely on a camera/projector technique. Recently, a paper published in the March 2009 issue of SIAM Review collected all that we currently know about the method of invisibility, and it turns out it’s a lot.

We can not only render things invisible in theory by bending light waves around an object, but have even progressed so far as to be developing the metamaterials needed to bring the theory to life.
So, while it’s incredibly close but currently theoretical in the private sector, who’s to say that better-funded government scientists don’t already have a secret working prototype? How would you know, after all? They could be there right now…they could be….right…BEHIND YOU! Nah, I’m just kidding. Why would they be behind you? They’re invisible, after all. They’re probably right in front of you. Or in your bathroom, depending on their inherent creepiness and the severity of their pervert-mustache.
Spiderman Webs
spider webs 5 Super Powers You Can Have Today

Some of us, as children, saw Spider-man’s amazing agility and web-swinging prowess and were immediately struck with jealous awe. The desperation even had some of us – who shall remain unnamed and are in no way me – microwaving spiders in an attempt to harness their radioactive bite (all right, so some of us were a little more retarded than others.) Not like Liming Dai, and Zhong Lin Wing, two professors at the universities of Dayton and Georgia Tech, respectively, who invented a material with ten times better proportional sticktion (I swear to god that’s also a word) than a Gecko’s foot.

The true awesomeness of the material, however, is that the nanotube spatulae (basically microscopic hairs) design also allows the material to pull free with a well-placed tug, letting you adhere to virtually any surface as well as quickly remove from that surface for redeployment. Or, as your childhood selves would understand it: Holy Shit! We get to swing on webs now!
So on the upside: Childhood dreams realized! Let’s get to work on making Transformer Best Friends a reality and we’re all set. On the downside? Prepare for a massive Darwinian strike aimed solely at the ADD infested nerd-children of America. Their awkward, flailing flips and mid-air somersaults shall bring a reaping as terrible to endure as it is hilarious to see.

Super Sight
super sight 5 Super Powers You Can Have Today
Rob Spence, a filmmaker from Canada, had his eye wounded in a shooting accident as a child. Presumably furious at its weak character and lazy work ethic, Spence asked doctors to just completely remove it a few years ago, and now he’s getting it replaced with a small camera (of the type normally used for colonoscopies,) a battery, and a wireless transmitter – effectively turning him into a human documentarian capable of recording, broadcasting, and relaying literally everything he sees, as he sees it.
Clearly this is an advantage over other, larger, more expensive filmmaking crews, as it not only gives Scott a completely secret way to record, but makes him basically the world’s smallest, cheapest studio. But god, consider what he’s sacrificed to get here! Not only has he been shot in the eye, but he’s demanded that said eye be removed, years later, and then replaced with something that normally goes up your butt. The man’s got a butt-eye for christ’s sake! Van Gogh may have cut off his ear, but until he replaces it with a dick, Rob Spence wins for craziest gesture in the name of art, hands down.

8 Most Bizarre Body Modifications

Corneal tattooing is not only possible, but it has been known and done now for over 2,000 years — it became almost commonplace in the late 19th century and into the 20th century to correct defects such as corneal scarring and leucomas. These days, it is done less often because contact lenses are very effective at covering these defects, and prosthetic technology is also more accessible. However, not everyone can wear contact lenses, and not everyone wants their eyeball popped out even if it is blind; hence cosmetic tattooing of the eye.

Scarification

Scarification is the creative and artistic application of scars in a controlled manner to achieve an aesthetically or spiritually pleasing result. In the process of body scarification, scars are formed by cutting the skin. Even though many people hold that scarification is no more painful than tattooing, it is somehow more "intense" to most of them.

3D-Art Implant

A 3D-Art implant is any object implanted fully under the skin for the purpose of affecting a sculptural change of the surface. The "invention" and popularization of implants as 3D-Art is credited primarily to Steve Haworth. Implants can be stretched just like piercings. A good example of this are horn implants—they start as smaller implants, and are then taken out when healed and replaced with slightly larger ones. This process is repeated to achieve the final size. There are some risks of irritation to the skin above the implant if this process is pushed too fast, as with all stretching.

Corset Piercings

One of the newest trends in body modification comes in the form of corset piercings. They are a series of surface piercings arranged up the back in two vertical columns. The piercing is located in the spot where the eyelets would be if one was wearing a corset. It is a symmetrical piercing with an equal number of holes on each side. As few as four holes can be used (two on each side) up to as many as the expanse of skin will allow.

Branding

The Human Branding is, perhaps, the most painful of all body modifications. In full-scale branding, the iron is heated hot enough and applied long enough that the resulting wound is a third degree burn, which destroys the nerve. These third-degree burns never regain sensitivity. It will make a silver scarred area in the shape of the third degree burn, due to destruction of the entire dermis layer of the skin. The surrounding skin will eventually fill in areas that haven’t been severely damaged, which takes years.

Body Suspension

Body suspension is the act of suspending the human body via temporary piercings made just before the suspension process. The body is then raised either partially or completely from the ground by especially modified fishing hooks.

Tongue bifurcation

One of the newest body modifications to hit the scene is tongue splitting, or tongue bifurcation. The process involves literally cutting the tongue in half directly down the center. Once the tongue is split it is possible to move both sections independently of one another.

Pointy Ears

New York plastic surgoen Dr. Lajos Nagy created a surgical procedure to make human ears pointed, like a mythological creature. According to the doc, "ears becoming pointed as a result of plastic surgery not only enhance the attractiveness of the face, but also improve the experience of listening to music."
