Mortal Kombat has produced many sequels and has created several adventure games, films as well as television series. The original version of this game made its debut in 1992 and its success gave way to a lot of sequels and the latest being the rumored
Mortal Kombat (2011 video game).
Apparently, Mortal Kombat (2011 video game) is the working title for an upcoming fighting game in the popular Mortal Kombat series. According to a reliable source, this upcoming game is currently being developed by NetherRealm Studios, previously known as WB Games Chicago.
Basically, the
Mortal Kombat 2011 video game will recount the events that happened in the first three games in the series, but in a different timeline. Most of the characters will be retained in this upcoming game but with different look and feel.
This new game will feature 26 playable characters such as Cyrax, Johnny Cage, Kitana, Kung Lao, Mileena, Nightwolf, Reptile, Scorpion, Sektor and Sub-zero. And apparently, this game will be the first fighting game in the franchise that will include battle intros for the characters, which is a common in many other fighting games. Each of the characters will be having an intro as well as an outro.
In addition to that, this upcoming game will also feature new control buttons that will make the game even more exciting. Instead of having punches divided between high and low only, there will also be control buttons for each limb as well. It basically combines martial art techniques thus, allowing more fluid character animations. Aside from this, players can also make some special moves easily and without the need of much effort.
This upcoming game looks very exciting and surely Mortal Kombat fanatics will look forward to it. This Mortal Kombat video game is scheduled for release next year for
Xbox 360 and
PlayStation 3, so watch out for it.
